Whilst liquid extracts are ideal for most applications, there are times when a powder, which is easy to handle and weigh and which can be used in dry-mix applications, offers distinct advantages. To spray dry our extracts, we pump liquid extract into a rapidly rotating atomiser positioned at the top of our conically shaped spray drying chamber. This forces the extract into tiny droplets which spin into a vortex and, as they drop through the heated chamber, dry virtually immediately into fine powder particles.
